Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 September 2026

This policy explains what information Asian IELTS collects, why, who else receives it, and the choices you have. It is run by Strelbyte, which is responsible for your information. Questions or requests: munnamiiraz@gmail.com.

1. What we collect

  • Your account: name, email address and password (stored only in hashed form, never readable by us). If you sign in with Google, the name and email Google shares with us.
  • Your profile and goals: target band, exam date, which test you are taking, and a profile photo if you add one.
  • Your practice: your answers, essays, voice recordings from Speaking practice, your scores, and how you work through a timed test — for example time spent on questions and, in real-exam mode, whether you leave the exam screen.
  • Payments: your plan, its status and history, and your billing country. Card and wallet details are entered directly with the payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Referrals: who referred you, the rewards you earn, and — if you withdraw a reward — your bank account or bKash/Nagad number and the account holder’s name. Those account details are stored encrypted.
  • Messages and posts: anything you send to support, and anything you post in question discussions.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, and logs of requests, which we use to keep the service secure and working.

2. How we use it

  • to run your account and the practice tests;
  • to mark your work and give you feedback, including with AI;
  • to personalise your study plan, reviews and reminders;
  • to send emails about your account, payments and practice;
  • to keep the service secure and fair — for example, making sure each person gets only one 7-day free trial;
  • to improve our questions and features, using combined statistics rather than individual profiles.

We do not sell your information, and we do not show you advertising.

3. AI processing

To mark your work, parts of it are sent to Google’s Gemini AI service: essays and written answers are analysed, and Speaking recordings are converted to text and then analysed. Google processes it on our behalf to give you feedback.

Your own AI key. With Pro, AI marking and the other AI tools may run on a free Google AI Studio key that you create and paste into Settings. We store it encrypted, use it only to run the AI features you ask for, and show only its last four characters — never the full key, to you, our staff or anyone else. Requests made with it go from us to Google under your own Google account, so Google’s own terms for that key apply to them too.

Google treats free-tier keys differently from paid ones. On the free tier, Google’s terms allow it to use what is sent — your essays, answers and the text of your recordings — to improve its products, and people at Google may review it. If you would rather that did not happen, turn on billing for your key in Google AI Studio, or remove the key. You can remove it in Settings at any time, and it is deleted with your account.

4. Who else receives your information

These services process information for us:

ServiceWhat forWhat it receives
Google (Gemini)AI marking and feedback, turning your Speaking recordings into text, the voice of the Speaking examiner, and writing some practice materialYour essays and answers, and your Speaking recordings and what you say in them
Google Sign-InSigning in with a Google account, if you choose toYour name, email address and Google account ID
StripeCard payments for Pro passes and sessions with a human Speaking examinerYour name, email, billing country and payment details (entered on Stripe’s page)
SSLCommerzPayments by bKash, Nagad, Rocket and local cardsYour name, email and payment details (entered on SSLCommerz’s page)
ResendSending email — sign-up, password reset, receipts and remindersYour email address and the message
Cloudflare R2Storing filesYour voice recordings, your profile photo and files you attach to support messages
SentryError tracking — telling us when something in the service breaksTechnical details of the error, such as the page or request that failed and your browser type. Your essays, answers, passwords and sign-in details are removed before anything is sent

We also use a hosting provider to run the service and store its database.

Beyond those services, your information is shared only:

  • with other students: your name next to anything you post in question discussions; and your name, photo and weekly XP on the weekly leaderboard and in weekly leagues, unless you hide yourself in Settings → Leaderboard;
  • with the friend who referred you: your name, next to the reward they earned when you bought your first pass;
  • with a teacher you link your account to, or a school or coaching centre you join — they can see your practice results and the work you submit to them;
  • with a human Speaking examiner, if you book a session with one;
  • with the public, only if you turn on your public progress page (see below);
  • when the law requires it, or to protect people from harm or fraud.

5. Your public progress page

It is off unless you turn it on. When it is on, anyone with the link can see your name, your photo if you have one, and your practice band scores over time. You can turn it off at any time in Settings, and the link stops working immediately.

6. Cookies and browser storage

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser’s storage for preferences such as text size and dismissed messages. We don’t use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.

On the sign-in and sign-up pages we load Google’s sign-in button. Google may set its own cookies there, under Google’s privacy policy, whether or not you use it.

7. How long we keep it

  • Essays and answers: kept for as long as your account exists.
  • Voice recordings: kept for as long as your account exists.
  • After you delete your account: your account and everything in it — essays, answers, voice recordings and photos — are deleted straight away, and in any case within 30 days.
  • We keep one thing after that: a scrambled, one-way fingerprint of your email address. It cannot be turned back into your address, it is not linked to your name or anything you did here, and it holds no other information about you. It exists only so the free trial cannot be claimed again by deleting an account and signing up afresh.
  • Payment records, including paid bookings with a human Speaking examiner, are kept without your name for as long as tax law requires, even after you delete your account.

8. Your rights and choices

  • Delete your account yourself at any time in Settings.
  • Correct your details in Settings.
  • Get a copy of your information, or object to how we use it, by emailing munnamiiraz@gmail.com.
  • Turn your public progress page on or off in Settings.
  • Hide yourself from the weekly leaderboard and leagues in Settings.
  • If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to your local data-protection authority.

9. Security

Passwords are stored hashed, connections are encrypted, and access to your information inside the service is limited to what each role needs. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you.

10. Children

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. From that age you can sign up yourself; we don’t ask for a parent’s or guardian’s consent. If you believe a younger child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.

11. International transfers

Some of the services above process information outside your country, including in the United States. We use providers that protect it under their own security and data-protection commitments.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
